I work at a television station and through the years I have my favorite carts or tapes. The Dean Martin variety specials, carol burnett, and such are tops. I never get tired when they run. The Magic Bullet is near the top. I always like Hazel’s unlit cigarette with the 1″ ash waiting to fall off. A lawyer friend of mine told me that it was a very old court trick when smoking was allowed in court. You run one or more rather stiff wires down the middle of the cigarette or cigar and smoke it. The ash never falls off. He remembers old lawyers using this trick to draw attention away from prosecution testimony. He said it worked every time as they were amazed how long the ash could get without being flicked.

Every time I see this, it crosses my mind that Berman and Hazel got it on the night before; one of those drunken flings where you wake up the next day, look at each other, and quietly go your seperate ways, hoping no one else see you depart from the same room.

My wife thinks the Magic Bullet looks like a sex toy.

Mick and Mimi are either total freaks in the bedroom or the secretly hate each other. Recall her barely concealed disdain at his insistance on “curry powder for everything!”
