Oh Dear Lord No! InAPPropriate Comedy Now Has a Trailer and a Release Date

If only those ancient Mayans had been right with their calendar, we wouldn’t have had to live to see this.

Last August I warned you that Vince Offer of ShamWow and Slap Chop fame was working on a new movie titled InAPPropriate Comedy. In spite of the hopes and prayers of decent people across the globe, the film now has a trailer and a release date of March 22, 2013.

If you dare, you may watch the trailer for yourself, but be aware that this is the “red band” trailer, meaning it contains things which are definitely NSFW (Not Safe for Work)

One of the many, many slams of Vince’s previous film, The Underground Comedy Movie, was this comment from Entertainment Weekly, “Most of Offer’s targets (The Godfather, Dirty Harry) are centuries old…” Apparently Vince didn’t take that criticism to heart because InAPPropriate Comedy contains yet another Dirty Harry sketch, this one featuring Adrien Brody. The bad taste on display in the trailer is very much in line with the previous movie as well.

I wonder if InAPPropriate Comedy will get a wide release in movie theaters or if Vince Offer will soon be reduced to selling DVDs of it on TV like he was with the Underground Comedy Movie.

  • What happened to Adrien Brody? I get Rob Schneider, Lindsay Lohan, and even Michelle Rodriguez being in this movie. If Adam Sandler dies, Schneider’s career is over, Lindsay’s fortunate that anyone will hire her, and Michelle Rodriguez is lucky the Fast and Furious franchise is a cash cow. How does an actor who won an Academy Award for playing a Holocaust survivor fall so far?

  • In THEATERS this March?!? Well, then f#$k you, theaters. The Underground Comedy Movie was not garden-variety bad, where you can at least crack a beer and heckle it… it was maddeningly bad, where instead of saying, “I see what they were going for but they failed” you say, “What was supposed to be the funny part of that?”

This new trailer speaks louder than any of my ramblings, though. Wow, just wow.

  • If the old school Drive-In and grindhouse movie theaters were still around, I’m sure they’d be fighting over this. But I doubt movie theaters today are going to want to show this crap.

  • Poor Vince.

Once again, he’s been beaten to the punch by another movie determined to be the worst, most tasteless attempt at “comedy” in the world…complete with some A-list talent that either lost a bet, or was tricked into appearing.

“Movie 43” came out a couple of weeks ago, and based on its godawful trailer and poisonous reviews (the first movie ever to get ZERO stars in the Toronto Star), Vince’s “InAPPropriate Comedy” is just another sad copycat also-ran.

  • @LaryOly: And to make things even worse, the producer of “Movie 43” is Peter Farrelly, of one the Farrelly brothers Vince sued for “stealing” ideas from his previous movie!

  • Thomas, you’ve clearly never seen Splice. At this point I’m thinking his role in The Pianist was the anomaly in his career the whole time.

  • @Eric: Splice is really bad. I got to watch it for free, and then wrote a very negative review; within a few days, that review disappeared from IMDb.
