Easy Curves Commercial: Breasts in Motion
July 2nd, 2008 Paul Lucas
I recently wrote about the trend of infomercials displaying gratuitous cleavage. One commercial, however, shoves breasts in the face of TV viewers, and it’s not gratuitous at all!
The commercial advertises a product called Easy Curves. Easy Curves is a piece of exercise equipment that is supposed to work the muscles underneath the breasts for a larger bust line. Check it out:
Wow. Even in the Shortcuts to Internet Millions infomercial we never get to see breasts in that kind of motion. (Of course with the amount of silicone pumped into Tina Milano and Kelly Britz, I doubt anyone ever gets to see those things in motion.)
In case you missed it, here’s the “money shot” of the Easy Curves commercial:
If a woman uses Easy Curves in front of a guy it will probably turn him on even if it doesn’t actually increase the size of her breasts.
At only $9.99, EasyCurves is one of those products that is cheap enough to try even if you really believe it’s a scam that’s not going to work at all! (Just make sure you have enough room in your closet next to your old Suzanne Somers Thigh Master.)

I agree with you completely about cleavage on TV.Not just in commercials, but just about every show on tv! it is ridiculous. this product cannot work, because your breasts are mostly fat glands, and those cannot be made bigger, except when you are pregnant or have surgery. And as you get older, gravity takes over, and that certainly can’t be changed! there is no”underlying”tissue! my plastic surgeon told me that years ago. I had breast reduction, and he told me that losing weight would not reduce the size of my bust. unbelievable how gullible women are.

Ok. I know some folks may not fall for the hype in this video. But I’ve personally noticed my breasts get larger when I gain weight and also get dramatically smaller when I work out. So, Melissa, I’m sorry but I cant agree with your surgeon. Being physically fit does change your breasts. And there is muscle under your breast that, when worked out, help keep your breats upright (not forever of course). I think your surgeon was just trying to get paid. Talk to any physical trainer or massage therapist. Your breasts are what you make them.

I could watch this all day long. It’s a masterpiece.
Comment by Fiar July 14th, 2008 at 4:48 am
Melissa you are completely wrong. I agree / Fiar that your surgeon just wanted to make a payment on his beach property! YES what you can do to enhance your bust is limited but toning up your pectorial muscles can lift the breast making them appear larger but definately having them sag less. Although I do agree that some selling points and the way they “sell” is misleading but passing on misinformation is not going to help either!

hello and i completely disagree with this infomercial.Because there is a muscle under your breast but just like everything also on the body can be helped so i do understand it help the muscle work out but the bigger part is wrong because its very simple:your breast are made up of about 95%fat and 5%of blood, ect. so working out like running and stuff might make them smaller because your are losing fat and they might get bigger if you gain wait because of the fat will go in different places.i had a diff story i had a breast reduction of 3 breast sizes because when i worked out i didnt loose weight on my breast but anyway it all depends on the body type you have but brease it still made up of fat.(sorry for the long replay)

Haha ya it sounds like you’re the gullible one Melissa!! Wow this really backfired in your face didn’t it! I thought everyone knew that when they loose weight their breasts will get smaller! HA looks like that DOC of yours really took you for a ride on that one! Ya you’re right– it’s amazing how gullible some women are.

Melisa ,
I agree with you in one way, when you said that breasts on TV look “unatural”, but when you say that the breasts are made of fat, you are wrong.FYI there is muscle in the breast.
“And as you get older, gravity takes over”–this is a brain washing stratagey that I hear in some places , such as costmetic counters that sell expensive creams. If you would know a bit of physics and understand it, you would know that the gravity is there at any time and it doesn’t have anything to do with aging. Gravity doesn’t increase while we age, it’s there at the same level, at earth level is 9.81 or so.
What makes the breasts “fall down” once we age is the lack of firmness because once we age the muscle get less firm and less elastic. The same thing happenes with the skin. So gravity action is pure BS and I am really impressed by the number of people believing that. How stupid they are!

I know one thing, when I gain weight, my chest looks bigger. When I lose weight, it looks smaller. I don’t know much about gravity, but I doubt it has anything to do with your breasts. For the young lady who got the implants, thats just the easier way to get the look of firmer breasts without putting in the workout. It’s just like getting a tummy tuck, only thing, you didn’t do the crunches.

My mother told me that she was an AA-cup until she had me. That’s a hell of a price to pay for bigger tits.

I can’t believe that you all actually have time to critique infomercials! Do you not have any other cable channels?? Housework??
GET A LIFE! At least I was actually searching something worthwhile when I stumbled across this ‘lovely’ blog!
Comment by Nichole January 29th, 2009 at 2:07 pm
Hey Nichole,
You sure seem to have time to critique people who critique infomercials, so I guess you must have all your housework finished.
Thanks for your ‘lovely’ comment.

be careful when you order this thing you will automatically get money taken again and again for some pills the divice is a cheap plastic workout that is maybe worth the original 23.00 paid for but no more my advice go to your local gym or sporting good store and buy something like it then you know that you won’t get another bill.

I got this thing. Not so much for a boob lift but it works great on the arms. The only down side to the product is when you buy it, it comes with this supplement pill. After about a month of getting easy curves they start sending you bottle after bottle of this crap. It’s $26 + $12 shipping I keep calling them to cancel and they keep billing my credit card and sending this crap. I have been billed over $200 and they will not stop sending.

you people are all wrong, my friend sheri bought this thing and shes been using it for a while now and she used to be a size 36A and now shes a 38C so i think it does work i think im going to by one for myself.

I just bought this and compared to getting home from work and not doing any exercise, this feels good around my chest area and for my arms.
The way you do the exercises is helping with my posture also and my core if you stand correctly.
I also us it for my ABS, secret, I extend it and I ist on teh floor with legs together slightly bent and i raise myself slightly up and i twist from left to right in a rowing motion. I hold it in my hands to balance when Im doing quats. This bargain peice of equipment is great. You can lye on the floor and rest it on your ankles and tehn lift you legs up keeping them straight and together so you get a controlled motion in your lift.
Girls, I dont know why you are all being sceptical. Toning your body requires doing something and if you put in the effort and invest in this great peice of equipment you might also have something good to share about the results it can give you.
whatever your doing for toning and fitnees, if it works for you, you enjoy it and are getting results then keep doing it.
Love ya

Actually, your breast do get larger. Bra size larger atleast. When your breast aren’t firm, you wear a smaller size in bras than a person whose breast are firm. Work the muscles in your breast for a while, and they become firmer. If they become firmer, then you go up a bra size. The largness was already there though, just hidden by flab. If that makes sense. Sorry, I’m not a good explainer.

I purchased this item for my wife and have seen noticable results. My only problem with the easy curves company is that when i bought it for the original 9.95 + S/H it came out to be 26.00 and then i got charged an aditionall 19.99 two more times even after cancelling the vitamins. i am currently still being charged even with confirmation numbers.

just a few facts, after seeing this commercial and reading these insane comments..
i am currently in graduate school & am taking gross anatomy. we just dissected cadavers where i have actually seen & touched in person what your breasts look like under the skin. Structural support of the breast is the upper ribs and the pectoral muscles, on top of that is nothing but a compartment of the mammary glands and on top of that, adipose tissue (fat).
Working your pectoralis major and minor is not going to make you have “big boobs”. And it doesnt make your breasts “firmer” because they are UNDER the breast tissue & glands. And having firm vs. saggy breast has nothing to do with how much you work out.. that’s all genetics, sorry. Maybe it can help make them stay high and perky…. but thats about it..
I am a 32A and i work out everyday with my boyfriend who is a certified personal trainer, and i eat healthy. Breast size is all dependent on GENES (CHROMOSOMES!!!)- It’s a PHYSICAL TRAIT that you are BORN WITH.
Here are some pictures to show you the muscle under your breast:

i haven’t bought. nor have i tried it. but i do believe it works. the same process happens when you you push ups. my mother told me of an exercise when she was in school, when you press your hands together in font of your chest. (i don’t know how to explain it,) it’s to build the muscle in the chest that holds them up or something. any thing that works that muscle will lift your breasts.

DO not buy this product at all. It is a scam. You get the product, and they automatically enroll in a continuity program which means you continue getting the essential boost (which does not work). They charge you and arm and a leg for these pills that are probrably more damaging than helpful. DO NOT BUY EASYCURVES. Beware of scammers.
