Frank from the ExtenZe Infomercial on Blind Date

Monday, December 29th, 2008

One of the versions of the infomercials for the ExtenZe male enhancement pills featured a male host identified only as “Frank.” (His hostess was Bridgetta Tomarchio.) Well, it turns out that the ExtenZe infomercial wasn’t Frank’s only foray into broadcast television. He also appeared on the reality TV show Blind Date in which a man and woman are set up on a blind date and the cameras capture all the gory details for us to laugh at. Check out this video of Frank’s blind date with a woman named Kelly:

This video was from a “Hall of Shame” segment, so it only showcased the lowlights from a previous show; I wish I could have seen the video from the original.

Many people have wondered whether the Girls on the Couch in the ExtenZe infomercial were really strippers or porn stars, but maybe they were asking that question about the wrong people. The most interesting thing in the Blind Date segment is when the announcer declares that Frank had “appeared in some racy videos for Playboy.” It appears the much of the date consisted of Kelly accusing Frank of being a porn star and Frank emphatically denying it. I guess Frank was highly offended at being associated with something as disreputable as a “porn star.”

So let it be known once and for all: Frank is NOT some sleazy porn star! He is the host of a sleazy infomercial selling penis-growing pills—and don’t you forget it!

Watch this video from Frank’s work on the ExtenZe infomercial:

And it should be noted that though Frank is not a porn star, the previous host of the ExtenZe infomercial, Ron Jeremy, IS a porn star.

For those who can’t get enough Frank, here are some images from his ExtenZe performance:

More ExtenZe Drink Videos

Monday, May 5th, 2008

I recently posted a review of the latest ExtenZe infomercial, which promotes their new “male enhancement drink.” In my review I wrote, “I’m sure that vending machines throughout North America will soon be stocking the ExtenZe beverage right next to the Diet Pepsi and Mountain Dew.” I thought I was making a joke. But check out this commercial video for ExtenZe where they indeed show it being stocked alongside other beverages at some supermarket (though it looks like they expect it to be stocked with the Red Bull and Rockstar energy drinks).

Also, part of the new ExtenZe infomercial takes place at the Playboy mansion. It turns out that ExtenZe was a sponsor of Playboy’s 2008 Super Bowl party, along with the electronic payment services company xchangeAgent and some kind of social networking website with the curious name Financially Hung.

StarMedia was also there and conducted interviews with Bridgetta Tomarchio as well as with the women dressed up as ExtenZe cheerleaders:

Finally, that poster child for mental hygiene, Steve-O—best known for his work on the TV show Jackass—has a video in which he drinks a cocktail of vodka mixed with ExtenZe. Even through his drunken rambling it is clear that Steve-O heartily recommends the ExtenZe beverage and thinks it is a better mixer than energy drinks:

I’m so glad that Steve-O has found a healthier beverage to replace those “bad for you” energy drinks.

ExtenZe Invents a Male Enhancement Drink

Saturday, April 26th, 2008

I’ve posted a full review of the latest version of the ExtenZe male enhancement pills infomercial.

Apparently, it is the 7th year anniversary of the ExtenZe infomercial being on the air. So we’ve all been blessed with 7 wonderful years of Ron Jeremy making irrelevant jokes and Bridgetta Tomarchio showing off her boobs…not to mention guys with small wee-wees taking pills in a desperate attempt to end up hung like a horse.

The latest version of the ExtenZe infomercial has the following highlights:

  • They unveil an ExtenZe “male enhancement beverage” that comes in a soda can.
  • Bridgetta Tomarchio returns as hostess.
  • They go to the Playboy mansion where they bore some playmates with questions about ExtenZe as well as ask them, “Does size matter?”

ExtenZe TV Ad Tries Intentional Humor for a Change

Sunday, January 20th, 2008

The infomercials for ExtenZe male enhancement pills have long been a source of laughs. This is true both for the original version of the ExtenZe infomercial with Ron Jeremy and the new ExtenZe infomercial with host Bridgetta Tomarchio and the sluts on the couch.

But in those cases the humor comes from people laughing at the awkward attempts to convince men to buy pills to make their wangs bigger.

Well it seems that the makers of ExtenZe have taken a new approach with their latest TV commercial. Instead of doing something that was unintentionally funny, they decided to create something that is intentionally funny. Perhaps they were inspired the by “Enzyte Bob” ads of their competitors.

Click here to watch the new ExtenZe commercial for yourself.

The ad starts out with cavemen around a fire and the voiceover declaring, “Through the centuries man has searched for a way to increase that certain part of the male body.”

We then see them tie a rock to a man’s index finger.

The effort turns out to be both futile and painful.

The cavewomen then laugh out loud at him—though it’s not clear if they are laughing at his failure, his pain, or just the fact that he has a small wiener in the first place.

The next scene is set in the Victorian era. A scientist tries to use a metal ball and chain to lengthen a man’s member.

The effort is once again as useless as it is painful.

This results in the scientist thoughtfully stroking his fake beard.

One question I have is how a man living in the prim and prudish Victorian era would even know the size of his manhood was inadequate? Most likely he frequented prostitutes who mocked his teeny weeny. That’s when he turned to an eminent scientist for some help. Of course when that didn’t work and the whores kept on laughing at him he did the only logical thing and became Jack the Ripper.

There is one interesting thing both these scenes share in common: the weights are attached to the wrong body part. In the first one the rock is tied to the caveman’s finger; in the second the chain is merely placed in the gentleman’s hand. There are several possible explanations for this:

  1. We’re just supposed to imagine that the weight is really tied to their wangs.
  2. The people in these scenes believe in the theory that long fingers = long *****, and that long fingers are a cause and not an effect.
  3. We’ve been wrong all along in assuming we know what “that certain part of the male anatomy” mentioned in these ads really is.

The final scene takes place in the present day and shows a skittish man putting an orange into a vacuum pump.

Some hot blonde then hands the man a box of ExtenZe, which puts a goofy grin on his face.

The other thing they are doing differently is they’re offering a free sample of Extenze pills. Sure, guys may not be willing to pay money to make their Johnsons bigger—but, hey, if they can get a free sample in the mail…

‘The Soup’ Notices the ExtenZe Infomercial

Saturday, July 14th, 2007

I was watching one of my favorite TV shows today, The Soup on the E! channel. And they just happened to feature the ExtenZe infomercial on one of their segments. (This episode will be airing throughout the weekend.)

If you’ve never seen The Soup, they cover the week’s events in pop culture with plenty of snide and sarcastic humor. I’m not sure why they decided to talk about the ExtenZe infomercial now, since the current version has been airing for over a year. I guess Lindsay Lohan just didn’t do anything interesting this week and they needed to fill the time with something.

They showed clips from the ExtenZe infomercial (The current version of the Extenze infomercial, not the funnier version of the ExtenZe infomercial hosted by Ron Jeremy.) The video they showed featured lots of every horny insomniac’s favorite infomercial hostess Bridgetta Tomarchio.

Maybe sometime in the future when the Paris/Britney/Lindsay news is slow The Soup might air a segment on The Magic Bullet or Dual Action Cleanse infomercials.
