Parodies of Slap Chop, ShamWow, and Snuggie

I have expressed my opinion that nearly all attempts at “funny” parodies of infomercials on YouTube are completely clueless, witless and unfunny wastes of time. But here, however, are a few parodies you might find interesting.

Vince Offer’s Slap Chop commercial has been remixed into a funky techo track:

One could image some young DJ playing that song at a hip South Beach nightclub in Miami.

And speaking of Miami, here is a version on the ShamWow commercial that takes into account Vince Offer’s recent entanglement with a prostitute:

That sketch was produced by a group called Totally Sketch, which also created a sketch centered the Snuggie Blanket with Sleeves. I knew wearing the Snuggie outside might be dangerous, but this sketch show us the dangers of wearing a Snuggie too much indoors as well:

  • Sad as it is to say this that “Rap Chop feat. Vince Offer” was really good.

Wish I could get an mp3 of it.

  • The Slap Chop commercial never manages to let me down. Those nubs of potatoes he calls “fries,” the ground of pieces of egg and pickle he calls “breakfast-to-go,” and the chopped celery, onion, and carrots he passes off as “salad.” Wonderful.

The remix was actually pretty good. Not so into the second parody though. That guy is actually creepier than Vince manages to be.

  • Check it out peeps: yet another Vince Offer remix. This one audio only. And it mixes Sham Wow and Slap Chop together. Really uses the “martini linguini bikini” line big time. Not as good as the video remix above, but still interesting.
