SoulWow: Father Vic Uses ShamWow Tactics to Get Catholics to Confession

Here is something perfect for people who are both infomercial fans and Roman Catholics. The Catholic churches in Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island launched an event called “Soul Wow” to get Catholics to go to confession before Easter and used this ShamWow parody video with “Father Vic” to promote it:

I think “Father Vic” is probably being played by a hired actor, but it would be great if he really were a priest. I also wonder if they came up with this idea before Vince “ShamWow” Shlomi’s recent unpleasantness with a hooker.

I have expressed my opinion before that nearly all infomercial parodies on YouTube are completely unfunny wastes of time, but I actually thought the SoulWow parody of the ShamWow ad was decent.

Happy Easter everyone!

  • Some of the things featured here will either strengthen your belief in a higher power watching over us, or convince you you are already in hell.
