Billy Mays and Anthony Sullivan to Star in Reality TV Show?

I came across this article in the St. Petersburg Times describing an infomercial shoot in which longtime infomercial pitchman Billy Mays fires a “bug bazooka” filled with crickets at a windshield to demo a windshield wiper called the “GatorBlade.” You’ll want to check out the picture of Billy Mays holding the bug bazooka, which is priceless.

More interesting than the main article, however, is the info in the box at the end of the article. Apparently Billy Mays and Anthony Sullivan (best known for the Swivel Sweeper) have signed a production deal with the producers of The Deadliest Catch for a reality TV show called Pitch Men about their lives in the infomercial and direct sales business.

(Now if we could only get them to teach a class at the Learning Annex…)

  • If they can add Santo Victor Rigatuso, aka Santo Gold, to the mix somehow then they’ve got a viewer for the life of the show. Perhaps they could also get Jan Muller, Ron “ExtenZe” Jeremy & Ron Popeil to throw down.

    Here’s hoping….

  • I hate both of them (Billy Mays with an exceptionally heated passion), but I admit I would DEFINITELY watch a show with them in it, for the laughs.

  • Has anyone seen the new Billy Mays Healthcare Insurance infomercial yet?! My husband and I paused in shock when we first viewed it, unable to tear ourselves away from the bizarre spectacle. There he is, blue utility shirt and all, pushing MEDICAL INSURANCE in the exact same voice that he employs when selling Mighty Putty. We fully expected Bill to burst out “But wait, if you call within the next 10 minutes, your first ER visit is FREE!” Please post this infomercial on your website soon, we gotta know what’s behind the scenes on this one!

  • They are both hilarious in real life. The show should be awesome.
Billy isn’t afraid to make some fun of himself either. Check out thi pretty funny video of him parodying The Office.

  • This guy is a mennace to television in my opinion. His commercials are loud, long and intrusive. I can be enjoying a nice show and suddenly there is someone yelling on my TV and the volume seems to go upward. This guy is a real pain and every time he comes on the tube I cringe. I would never ever buys any product he sells. Someone needs to start a boycott or something.

  • I HATE BILLY MAYS. I mute the tv every time I hear that annoying yelling voice. And that phony beard and hair. He’s an idiot and I will never watch the show. I HATE BILLY MAYS!

  • Anthony Sullivan is a loser. AND, if he believes in what he’s selling, he’s a fool as well.

Have you seen his gold commercial. Folks, don’t sell your gold through a mail it in process. Take it to a legitimate gold dealer. You’ll be treated for more fairly. Oh, by the way. I’m not in the gold business but I know the precious metals markets. DONT GET SCREWED!!

  • I say Congrats to both Billy Mays and Sully. They aren’t here to save the world…although I am sure they would if asked! They, like you, me and the rest of America, have to work to live, right? So, they have beat the odds and beat them good. Why all the animosity?

  • Whether you love him or you hate him, Mr. Mays is great at what he does and that is introducing and selling new innovated products,if I was only so lucky to have him introduce and present my new product, anyways Billy keep up the great job that you are doing, maybe one day you could be representing my product, all the best. • After watching the show “Pitchmen” I think Billy Mays is a pussy. Especially after buying Silly Putty. That was the biggest joke ever. I’m still trying to get my money back from those idiot’s. The other guy on Pitchmen seem’s OK, but he must be an idiot also to hang with sissy Billy.

Billy was like “I make my money with my hands”. What a fag!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Whenever one of Billy Mays’, Vince Offer’s or any other “infomercial” appears on the tv I immediately change the channel. The first time I saw an “infomercial” @ any length was @ a neighbor’s home. It was the “EXtenze” “infomercial”(a truly sick intrusion into anyone’s home). I excused myself & left the room. I DO NOT care for any of the “infomercials.”
