Age My Ass! Check Out What Ken Dab-Row is Up To

Those who remember the original version of the California Pines infomercial will recall its host, Ken Dab-Row, a man whose colorful descriptions were matched by his colorful wardrobe:

Sadly, in 2000 Mr. Dab-Row was replaced on the Cal Pines infomercial by the better known (and much duller) actor Erik Estrada. And that was the last time most of us ever thought about him.

But Ken Dab-Row is back…not on an infomercial but with a website called Age My Ass! The website describes itself as “Inspiration and motivation for men over 40.” For just $5 a month, the 82-year-old will impart his words of wisdom to you:

Like his fellow infomercial hosts Jay Kordich and Jack LaLanne, it seems that Ken Dab-Row is cultivating the persona of a man who remains vibrant and vigorous into his 80s, even as he adopts the look of another sometime infomercial host, Hulk Hogan.

The most curious thing about this venture is the name of the website. It is spelled “Age My Ass!” but it really should be rendered as “Age? My Ass!” or “Age, My Ass!” By neglecting the necessary punctuation, it seems as if Ken Dab-Row is making an odd request for people to add years to his butt.

You may want to clarify this point before giving a gift membership to your brother-in-law.

  • Considering that he spells his name “Dab-Row”, I’m not surprised he’d have trouble with punctuation.

    “Age My Ass, Please!”
