Did you ever think you’d see a TV infomercial in which a woman slips into a hot tub and fantasizes about her boyfriend? And it’s not even one of those Girls Gone Wild infomercials that air endlessly on Spike TV!

The scene takes place on the infomercial for the ThermoSpas® hot tubs. The ThermoSpas infomercial is, for the most part, pretty dull. Still, you have to give it credit for being the first infomercial ever to include a hot tub fantasy sequence.

This is followed by a listing of all the over-the-top options available for the ThermoSpa. In its own quiet way the ThermoSpas infomercial is a much a tribute to excessive opulence and lavish luxury as the famed Tom Vu infomercial:

I wonder: Is the man portraying the “boyfriend” of the infomercial hostess her real boyfriend or just an actor playing her boyfriend? “WANTED: Actor to snuggle with a woman in a hot tub for 3 seconds.”

Just how many cigars can one human being smoke in a single hot tub session that he would have a pressing need for a built-in cigar humidor?

Including a TV and bar in your hot tub may seem indulgent, decadent, or even absurd. But ThermoSpas is willing to draw the line somewhere: If you want a couple of hookers to go along with your hot tub, you’ll just have to procure those on your own.
