Song about TV Home Shopping
August 30th, 2006 by Paul Lucas
I wrote this song about TV home shopping channels years ago. I don’t think you’ll be hearing it on HSN, QVC, or ShopAtHome anytime soon.
The Home Shopping Song
(Sung to the tune of Eleanor Rigby)
Turns on home shopping, puts on a necklace, a pendant, a ring.
Buys a CZ.
Opens five boxes filled with some face cream that comes in a jar.
Then she buys more.
Old and lonely people,
They watch home shopping now.
All you lonely people,
You better call in now.
Calls up home shopping, talks to the host and she says she loves everyone there.
Dies on the air.
The shopping show host FedExes plastic flowers to her grave.
Look how much
Money he saved!
Old and lonely people,
They watch home shopping now.
All you lonely people,
You better call in now.

Oh really, why won’t we hear it?
It might bring some life to all those shopping channels.
Where do they get the presenters from, market stalls?
